A Peruvian Christmas Unique Alabaster Stone Nativity Scene in a Chullo Hat

Juan Licas Coronado adapts the shape of the traditional chullo hat to create a warm, snug environment. Inside, the Holy Family kneels together with the Three Kings to adore the newborn Jesus. For this sculpture, the artisan selects stone quarried in Huamanga in the central sierra of Peru. Its texture and color are similar to alabaster.
