Leonor Quispe conveys a child's pleasure on a splendid spring day in the Andes. Birds fly amid kites that soar on the warm breeze above a quiet mountain hamlet. A bunny and two billy goats graze in the meadow and ducklings gaze at bright butterflies in a magical scene. Quispe works in the traditional art of arpillerÃa (patchwork) to create this extraordinary wall hanging. Each tiny figure is crafted in three dimensions and lavishly embroidered.
