Gamocha Elegance Handwoven Cotton Shawl with Tassels from India

Utilizing the traditional Gamocha technique, Indian artisans hand-weave this cotton shawl with a special device called a xaja, which separates and organizes the colorful threads. Madhumita Sarkar Guha designs the shawl, featuring intersecting stripes of purple and red over a white body. Dainty tassels line the edges of the shawl.
