Jatiluwih Green Handmade Light Green Ceramic Mosquito Coil Holder

This covered dish by Putu Oka Mahendra has a secret. The light green bowl and its lid are handcrafted from ceramic with a Balinese openwork design.

In Bali, such dishes are often used to hold burning mosquito coils, which are placed on the raised portion of the bowl bottom. The smoke drifts through the openings around the top and sides.
