Mexican ceramist Angel Cerón replicates the legendary art of the Maya with a highly detailed panel featuring a priest. The Maya people would mark special occasions with similar panels featuring glyphs that informed of the date. Panels such as Cerón's ceramic replica have been found in the Chichen-Itzá archeological site.
Cerón uses a special finishing technique that causes the panel to develop small cracks to achieve an antique appearance.
